COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Effective bidding is a refined art that requires a thorough understanding of actual operation costs. Participants in this course will be introduced to a tool that will help them identify the estimated cost associate with a job. Participants will be shown how to develop a customized spreadsheet that accounts for variable costs (labor, materials, equipment replacement, and shop efficiency) for each job and will be shown how to more-accurately assign overhead expenses (indirect labor, rent, lights, etc.) to specific jobs. Participants will be introduced to a standardized system for determining which are potentially profitable jobs that fit your equipment and employee skill levels.

Create a bidding process that considers true costs, as well as production and employee capability.
Submit contract bids that, if won, can be fulfilled profitably.
