COURSE DESCRIPTION:
To be successful bidding on contract manufacturing or other production jobs, applying an accurate shop rate to your bid is essential. Many job shops don't have a detailed understanding of the hourly rate they should charge for their manufacturing or production services. This course will show you how to calculate your shop rate and how this shop rate can and should be adjusted according to various factors associated with a particular job. Participants will gain insights into these factors and will be better prepared to effectively bid their next contract manufacturing or production job.

LEARN HOW TO:

•	Calculate your overall, baseline shop rate.
•	Calculate various shop rates for different production activities.
•	Break down a potential contract into its component shop activities with varying shop rates.
•	Effectively incorporate these more-accurate shop rates into your bidding process.
•	Establish guidelines for how calculated shop rates will be applied in all future bidding.

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE: Company owners, marketing/manufacturing/financial managers.
