Steve serves
on a variety of boards and councils including the Montana District
Export Council, the Montana Ambassador's Board of Directors
and the Montana Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Nationally,
he is Past-President of the University Economic Development
Association, Board Treasurer for the American Small Manufacturers
Coalition and is Past President of the American Industrial Extension
Alliance.
In the fall of 2010 Steve
was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce and the
United States Trade Representative to serve as a trade adviser
on the Industry Trade Advisory Committee on Small and Minority
Business (ITAC
11).
Over 250 industry representatives serve as advisers to the Secretary
of Commerce and the USTR representing their industry sectors
in 16 ITACs administered jointly by the two organizations. An
integral part of the U.S. trade policy-making process, the ITACs
are industry's voice in developing trade policy.
